Hello! My name is Avery Wickes, and I am currently working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Medical City Dallas. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Baylor University in Dallas in May of 2019. I previously attended The University of Texas at Austin where I obtained an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Social Work. It has always been a passion of mine to be around people and help those who are in need. I am a dedicated to consistently learn and work diligently in my nursing practice, as I previously did in my courses at Baylor University and The University of Texas. Through my education and volunteer opportunities, I have gained skills that have improved my work ethic, communication with others, relationship building, and leadership. I would love to continue to use these skills in my career and also use my background in child development and social work to help construct an environment where a person feels safe, accepted and loved for who they are.
