As a project for Emerson College, I collaborated with another student on a business pitch and proposal for a quarterly fantasy anthology magazine aimed at middle-grade audiences. After conducting market research, developing plans and goals for growth and writing a proposal, we presented our pitch at the December 2016 WeWork entrepreneurial showcase.

As an intern at Upstart Crow Literary, I responded to query submissions, proofed documents and composed reader reports for manuscripts currently under consideration.

As a project for Emerson College, I collaborated with another student to propose, develop and put a hypothetical book through the publishing acquisition's process. This included scouting an author, calculating the costs of printing, weighing and pricing marketing opportunities, adhering to the publisher's printing schedule, and creating Profit and Loss.

As a page, I was responsible for organizing the stacks at CLP Squirrel Hill as well as shelving viewed and returned material. I retrieved and processed material from the return deposit bins. I also provided information on library sources for patrons, answering questions and handling checkouts at the customer service desk.

As an independent project for Carnegie Mellon University, I produced a mock curriculum and lesson plan for a proposed genre studies course on Modern Fantasy literature. In addition to researching the historical arc of the genre as well as its tropes, trends and literary conceits, I compiled my findings to create an overview of what the proposed course.
