High involvement in technological ventures, development, manufacturing and consulting.After a long service in the IDF, in some of the most exiting R@D units of the ordnance corps (starting as an academic officer), I have retired as Lieutenant Colonel and joined the thrilling initiative and lovely staff of Milbat NGO. I established it's unique commercial-social development branch 'Petel' which specializes in identifying, developing and launching advanced hi-tech solutions that respond to the needs of senior citizens and people with special needs.Managing the staff of 'Petel' ,we have been raising substantial budget from the Chief Scientist, social venture funds and various government agencies and were responsible for the entire development process, patent reg. ,design and manufacturing of some exciting products that eventually reached their target market.Today, I run my own startup, a robotic door opener - 'HERON', with a partner. Our office is located in the smart cities innovation complex at Bar Ilan University.I enjoy working with people so much, to teach and contribute to the younger generation of engineers and entrepreneurs from my experience.I'm an advisory board member for a few startups and attend relevant conferences, competitions and hackathons when being called to the flag.Lately I appeared in the Israeli "Shark tank" TV show (entrepreneurship investments) succeeding to raise a nice amount for our door robot...Some of the things I do beyond the daily routine:► Lecturer & graduate's final project coordinator at the Afeka College of Engineering in Tel Aviv.► Occasional lecturer in elementary and high school on entrepreneurship, innovation and creative thinking to encourage the youngsters to consider the tech direction and think outside the box..► Mentoring students from the Bar Ilan Business Administration - Entrepreneurship track.2 Volunteering positions at Milbat Association and The Ilani Chesed Charity Association - described later.Some of my hobbies:► A maker► Electronics, patents gadgets and technology► A licensed radio amateur, with a 4X6GR call sign since ninth grade.. I build the necessary equipment and antennas, participate in fascinating international competitions and mostly know friends across the globe.► An archeology enthusiast with special sympathy to Jerusalem and the first and second temples era. ► Likes planning family trips and traveling around the country and the world.
