Avi Merkado-Ettedgui is an Israeli filmmaker and screenwriter working on both scripted and unscripted shows. His recent projects include: a documentary, “Holocaust the Revenge Plot” (Channel 4) which was nominated for RTS. He Also worked as a writer and researcher on “Enslaved”, (Epix) a documentary miniseries about the transatlantic slave trade, starring Samuel L. Jackson. He directed in 2020, “You Had to Be There” (Kan 11), a documentary on the use of Humor during the holocaust as a defense mechanism. And Recently he created and directed the Highly acclaimed 3 part Docu-series “Birth of a conflict” (Kan 11) on the 30 years of British rule in Palestine and it's relation to the birth of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
