Conceptual design in aerodynamics, stability and controls, and GNC across three aircraft programs: a supersonic commercial airliner, a 5th-gen fighter platform/UAS, along with flight test execution on a subscale autonomous demonstrator for the UAS: • Implementation of aerodynamic methods across multiple fidelity levels (first-order through CFD), and integration of these alongside other disciplines (performance, propulsion, structures, GNC) in an MDO framework• Extensive use of CFD (primarily Euler), focused on wing planform optimization, inlet design, and propulsion-airframe integration• Produced and executed test plans to support verification and validation of various UAS subsystems (flight computer, avionics, propulsion, actuation) in a SIL/HIL testbed setting, including formal requirements decomposition and documentation • Developed test plans and sortie flows for all ground and flight test campaigns. Standardized aircraft concept of operations (CONOPS) alongside pilot and system operating procedures, maintaining these in a version-controlled aircraft flight manual / DASH-1 • Extensive training alongside a test pilot in high-fidelity sim environments, and served as mission/ground controller during all phases of simulator, ground, and flight test campaigns• Detail design, modeling, and tuning of the flight computer physical plant and control laws in MATLAB/Simulink• Directed a full wind tunnel test campaign; defined all test objectives and matrices, served as POC with model manufacturers, directed all tunnel operations, and calibrated our aerodynamic tools using test results • Drafted and submitted proposals to USAF / DoD for the UAS program, and created presentations + product sheets for investors and the public.

Oct 2020 - Present

Research Team Lead

Led the Supersonic Aircraft Design Capstone group - tasks were focused on using classical methods, VLM codes, and existing wind tunnel data to compute aircraft aerodynamics and stability derivatives. Traded airframe configurations at the conceptual level to guide future wind tunnel test campaigns.

Sep 2019 - Sep 2020

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Student researcher in the UW Aircraft Icing and Aerodynamics Research Group (AIARG). Manufactured pressure taps for use on a variety of 3D-printed leading-edge ice buildup models, and analyzed resulting wind tunnel data to determine the icing impact on low-speed aircraft flying qualities.
