About Jason Dickstein

I have been involved in aviation law since 1992, defending companies and advising them on compliance. I have worked with FAA and EASA on a number of their aviation rule-making committees. Our firm represent manufacturers, repair stations, air carriers and distributors. We provide compliance training and aviation industry consulting. We help companies to resolve a variety of legal disputes, and we help businesses pursue the results they desire. We also represent aviation industry trade associations (some of which are listed under "Organizations," below).     MARPA is the non-profit trade association that represents the PMA parts industry. FAA-PMA parts are aircraft parts for which the FAA issues both design and production approval. MARPA's members offer an alternative source of aircraft replacement parts that are FAA approved to meet the same safety standards as the original parts; in some cases these parts offer safety and reliability advances based on their more recent engineering and development. I was a founder and Board member of MARPA from its inception in 1999. In 2007 I became President of the organization.Under my leadership, the organization has grown significantly in both membership and in global influence. More importantly, the PMA industry has grown into a very important partner for the aviation operations and maintenance community, helping to both control maintenance costs through competition, and to increase safety and reliability through engineering advances.
