Responsible for refactoring all Machine Learning Models for credit score and default risk, aiming to make them more robust in terms of software engineering, code maintenance, metrics assessment and comparison, complete automation of the testing and delivery process, including git-Ops, auditing, cloud integration, CI/CD. Coordination and thought leadership of a team of machine learning, data and software engineers and data scientists.

Besides my regular data science-related tasks (EDA, estimator modeling, metrics evaluation, model interpretability), I’ve proposed and implemented a radically new way to produce and compare metrics, package and ship model to production. Eventually the industry started calling this practice as Industrializing Machine Learning. At the time I joined the team we struggled with 4 models that were difficult to scale, produced only a handsome of metrics that were difficult to compare and audit — a pain to maintain. My applied redesign, using modern Software Engineering and Design Patterns practices and unprecedented Machine Learning Engineering, enabled to easily maintain more than 70 models, each producing hundreds of metrics every day. 70 and growing versus 4 initial. My new paradigm for ML application engineering became the reference in the company and squads adopting it became orders of magnitude more productive. Parts of what I created at that time evolved more and later became the Xingu Project.

Statistics, predictive analytics, econometrics, math, data visualisation and interaction, machine learning, artificial intelligence, neural networks, computer programming, infrastructure strategies, security, social and privacy. I dive and teach the practice of all these disciplines of Data Sciences along with entire student classes leadership and mentoring into the most interesting and challenging new profession of the Information Era.

I played a pivotal role in assembling a small and dynamic “dream team” to spearhead groundbreaking IT initiatives in 2014. My role involved ideating, identifying opportunities, and orchestrating seamless collaboration across diverse IBM departments to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.Throughout this journey, I delivered numerous lectures on CAMSS, sharing insights and empowering both internal teams and clients to harness the immense potential offered by these technologies. I actively participated in client meetings, guiding them on how to embrace and leverage these novel opportunities. Additionally, I utilized my expertise as an architect in numerous projects, ensuring optimal implementation of identified strategies.In line with these endeavors, I synthesized the dialectics derived from our engagements, translating them into original presentations and articles. These materials served as valuable resources, extensively utilized for training our internal sales force, as well as disseminated through blogs and social networks to engage a wider audience.This role afforded me unparalleled exposure both within the organization and across the market, establishing me as a renowned professional in the high-tech industry of the “new economy”.

Aliança Empreendedora is an NGO that is getting ready to build a social network web site to connect micro entrepreneurs with what they call "mentors" so they can help each other and grow together.The objective was to help the management and communications team transform abstract ideas into mockups closer to a language that will make communication with web designers and developers easier. We've surfaced aspects of the site such as the basic content types, how their relationship should work, what kind of pages and views the site should have, internal processes that should be implemented etc. My plan was to teach them on how to think about these aspects and how to communicate them to future developers.We've surfaced subjects such as how to chose a web framework (Ruby on Rails versus Drupal versus Web2py etc), how to apply technologies as geolocation, taxonomies, faceted searches etc.

Instituto SEVA has a nice social network, forum-like web site optimized for improving life in big cities and neighbourhoods. CidadeDemocratica.org.br is written on Ruby on Rails.The objective was to brainstorm, identify and explore new possibilities and improvements to their web site. To transform business ideas into their technological aspects and discuss them with the Ruby on Rails developers.Ideas surfaced fields like geotagging/geolocation, semantic content categorisation (tagging versus hierarchical vocabularies), open sourcing the platform, open data (the process of completely opening the site data as a downloadable database dump), improve site mindshare through external mashups etc.

We've build an Intranet collaborative portal (based on Drupal) for IBM products and solutions where content is classified and explored by multiple taxonomies as Industries, Focus Groups, Brands, Solution Areas etc. Content was also displayed as a yearly/monthly/weekly calendar where all teams had an integrated view of enterprise content with multiple privileges and special visions. Multiple SEO technics were applied in this project.

We've built and run a complete data center from scratch. We've built a fully virtualized infrastructure with VMware, KVM, Xen. We've dealt with a wide range of software solutions as WebSphere BPM suite, Cognos and Business Analytics, Tivoli. We've dealts with many industry specific solutions for Retail, Telecom, Public Sector. We've dealt with a wide range of hardware platforms as Intel servers, Power Systems, Storage and SAN and iSCSI, Mainframe and also network appliances. I've architected and built many solutions here.

Objective was to enable Vale to test a new innovative supercomputer architecture using their ethanol-powered jet/turbine designs.I was the catalyst between Vale's rocket scientists CFD engineers and IBM Watson Research Center, “translating” engineering needs to IT results.I worked on cross port of the OpenFOAM Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) package to BlueGene architecture. From cross compiler construction to code patches, dependencies build and performance fine tune.
