I'm an award-winning independent filmmaker and audio content creator with a wide range of experience in both new and traditional media. Since 2018 my focus has been on creating immersive, cinematic, and place-centric non-fiction and fiction podcasts with Frequency Machine, a content studio I co-founded. FM's newest project, Cerca, is a travel app that delivers immersive audio and a two-sided market for connecting locals and travelers. As of July, 2022, Cerca has launched beautiful, rich, immersive audio guides in 6 cities with more on the way. We're creating the world's best travel guide and putting it right on your phone. Frequency Machine's other shows include our flagship show "Passport," "Chicano Squad" (produced in partnership with Vox), "Hung Up with Shan Boodram" (in partnership with Headspace), and "Feminist Files" starring Jodie Foster and Samira Wiley.As a screenwriter, my work has been a semi-finalist for The Screenwriter's Colony and Dejarassi Fellowships.My work has been screened at festivals across the country and featured in Tubefilter, Those Video Guys, Indie Intertube, and BBC 5's Outriders Podcast among others.From 2009 to 2016, I was primarily focused on producing my own work under the Highway 9 Pictures banner. In 2016 I was hired to help build Detour's content team ahead of a massive worldwide rollout - Detour Everywhere. As part of that initiative I helped develop and produce over 100 hours of immersive, GPS-enabled audio walks on subjects ranging from Piracy and Pot smuggling in Charleston, to the history of Go-Go Music in D.C, to the birth of Jazz in New Orleans.It was that experience at Detour that led me to co-found Frequency Machine with two of my colleagues from the content team.Specialties: Production, Development, Directing, New Media, Podcasts, Audio Content, Screenwriting, Independent Production.
