I am a seasoned executive passionate about Industrial and Economic Development through International Business Development. I strongly believe that the world is a global village, and we need to leverage the competitive advantage of each country / region for sustainable growth. International business development and market entry strategy for global markets has been at the forefront of my professional experience. At present, I am working with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and leading the ESDM vertical. My main responsibility is to develop a robust electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Karnataka and attract investment from Semiconductor, ATMP, OSAT companies into the state. I am working closely with global as well as India giants to land these projects in Karnataka.I had the opportunity to work for Government of India and be the part of the team who introduced the first Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for mobile phone and electronics manufacturing in India. I was extremely excited when I devised and led the strategy to promote (to both domestic and international companies) the 4 landmark schemes viz. 1. PLI scheme for Large Scale Electronics Production (Mobile phone & Electronic components)2. PLI scheme for IT Hardware (Laptop, tablet, AIOs & servers)3. SPECS scheme (capex incentive)4. Modified Electronics Manufacturing Cluster scheme (EMC 2.0) of Ministry of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India, offering financial incentives of $7.5 bn. These investment promotion activities garnered commitment of production of over $220 bn & fresh investment of $1.8 bn into India from global electronics manufacturing companies by 2026. During these promotional activities I have interacted with the leadership teams of most of the major domestic and international electronics manufacturing companies. Earlier I have represented two foreign govts, in India, viz. the Govt of Wales in United Kingdom & Alsace in France. These assignments had given me the exposure to work with clients and colleagues in Europe and UK. I had worked on an extremely dynamic profile as I was handling projects across all verticals (Automotive and Aerospace, Phama & Biotech, Fintech, FMCG, Food & Beverages, Sports, Tourism etc.). I have been instrumental in assisting many global corporate entities to enter the Indian market as well as advising / hand-holding Indian businesses across various sectors with their international expansion plans to Europe and UK.Personally, I believe in bringing Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) from my clients and solve their problem with ingenuity.
