- With Prof. Ethan Garner at the FAS Center of Systems Biology of Harvard University, we dissect and study self-organizing mechanisms controlling the spatial growth and division in bacteria. Specifically, we focus on clinically-relevant pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, and major microbial cell factories for industrial purposes, such as Bacillus subtilis.

- Supervised and conducted biomedical-research experiments to meet research and development needs as a Staff Research Assistant in Prof. Mobashery's laboratory.

- As a member of Prof. Shahriar Mobashery's laboratory, I have discovered the protein-interaction networks of a clinically-relevant class of enzymes in a multi-drug resistant bacterial pathogen. - Their targeting for antibiotic action can curb multi-drug resistant bacteria (e.g. Pseudomonas aeruginosa).Published 5 articles in peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Nature Communications Biology, Protein Science, and ACS Pharmacology and Translational Science).- Presented research findings at more than 30 regional, national, and international scientific conferences.

- Won the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Fellowship Award (Chemistry-Biochemistry-Biology Interface Fellowship) for 2 years.

- Serving the graduate and professional ND community consisting of >3,000 students and >20 advanced degree consulting alumni.- Co-hosting the 10th annual Midwest Case Competition in collaboration with the Michigan Graduate Consulting Club.- We have the goal to attract >50 participants from top universities and business schools across regional and national levels.

- Won the NIH Initiative for Maximizing Student Development Fellowship Award for 3 years.- My first research experience was in the laboratory of John Karanicolas where we developed computational tools specifically catered to the shallow surface pockets of proteins. By exploring low-energy fluctuations of the protein surface, we can reveal cryptic druggable pockets and then use these as the basis for structure-based virtual screening.- My second research experience was in the Josephine Chandler laboratory where we sought to understand how complex behaviors like communication and cooperation evolve in bacteria. Particularly in a type of communication called quorum sensing within P. aeruginosa.

- Won the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates Fellowship Award.- My research was conducted in the Lionel Cheruzel laboratory, in which it was centered around the use of hybrid P450 biocatalysts and their activation by visible light to produce chemicals that are difficult to obtain using traditional methods.
