I am a Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship Professor in the College of Business at Illinois State University. At Illinois State, I am the Director of the George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Illinois State University. I am also a visiting professor at the Institute of Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, I am a Senior Research Fellow with the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management. I had my doctoral education (Ph.D.) in Business Administration from Washington State University. My works have been published in highly impactful journals like Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Management Decision, R&D Management, Journal of International Management (JIM), Journal of Small Business Management (JSBM), International Journal of Innovation Management, and Information Systems Research. I teach the graduate (MBA) and an undergraduate capstone course in Strategic Management at Illinois State University. I also teach classes in technology innovation and entrepreneurship. As the Director of George R. and Martha Means Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, I forge alliances with local businesses, Angel Investors, Venture capitalists, and Business Incubators. I also manage an endowment of $7,600,000.During my spare time, I paint, am a coffee enthusiast, and am an avid collector of Mechanical Watches and fountain pens.
