• Reprogram, culture, and differentiate patient-derived iPS cells to fibroblasts and keratinocytes • Utilize non-integrative CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing methods to target the COL7A1 mutated gene in iPS cells from patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB)• Generate preclinical data for a personalized therapy for RDEB• Scale and manufacture a CRISPR-corrected, iPS-derived autologous cellular product to meet the unmet need of healing chronic wounds in RDEB patients• Study squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) tumorigenesis in RDEB patients using iPSC technology• Investigate the epigenetic alterations that occur during SCC tumor development and study the molecular changes that may be critical for cancer initiation in RDEB patients
