The factors that have driven my life the most are resilience, empathy and a will to progress in life. Securing my admission in NIFT was certainly a life altering event for me. I completed my Bachelor's in fashion technology in 2015. It introduced me to a plethora of career opportunities which I never knew existed. I got a job at campus placements I first worked with one of the top manufacturing companies- Madura Clothing as a Central Planner (Exports). I learned to manage international clients, work with in-house factories & sourcing teams, ensuring timely order execution & delivery. I adapted quickly and after a year's hard work I was given additional responsibility of implementing a planning solution “FASTREACT” with training everyone and planning the orders. I then wanted to transition from the manufacturing side to the retail/sale side of business as I felt my learning had become stagnant. I switched to Future group as a Retail Merchandiser- consequently handling multiple product categories of an entire menswear brand- SCULLERS. I also got the opportunity to work on Budget and assortment planning. But I knew this was not my end goal. In 2019, I got an opportunity to work for a Canadian retailcompany, Hudson’s Bay Company, which is one of the oldest organizations in NorthAmerica. I got a chance to grow into a leadership role in 2021, when I had tohire, train and work with 20 members’ team and handle various operations forApparel Segment. I was constantly intriguedby the business handling strategies to enhance sales and it gradually shaped mywill move towards more challenging roles.Having an in-depth experience of Manufacturing, Planning & Retail Merchandising and working with leadingbrands, I have improved my abilities to grow with the job and effectively manage responsibilities as well as building positiverelationships with customers & colleagues. Further, I aim to get into a strategy/Senior leadership roles in similar industry in near future. It led me into getting into my MBA program, PGPEM from IIM Bangalore. I feel that the PGPEM entails a structured study curriculum under the able guidance of experienced faculties of IIM Bangalore. I am positive that this course is congruous to my requirements and aligns with my career goals.
