Joined Port sector during inception of the Jawaharlal Nehru port trust (JNPT) in 1989-90, where the fundamentals of terminal operation & maintenance techniques were learnt in collaboration with the European container terminal (ECT). Supervised various functions of the green field project commissioning and worked on setting up terminal processes for running terminal operations.Working with APM Terminals Mumbai since 2007 in various leadership roles across functions like Operations, Contracts & Claims, Engineering, Projects, Transformation etc.I have been leading a major part of the terminal team and involved in negotiations with Labor unions to settle conflicts amicably. Have experience in Vendor management including selection, negotiation, finalizing agreements and performance monitoring. Also liaise with the labor unions of the contracted labors and managed conflicts for smooth running of operations.
