This included short term raw material planning & ordering from domestic mills to long term planning of high grade import steel for very specific applications.Key Responsibilities:- Vendor management (Steel mills and Forgers) , vendor development, materials planning & scheduling, capacity planning, Share of business (SOB) and Strategic planning. - Long term Planning includes from 3 months for local suppliers to 5 months for import route. - Spend analysis and management, commodity tracking, market trend analysis of Alloys and RM.- Monitoring pricing, maintaining quarterly price variance clause (PVC) and contract management. - Brainstorming ideas for continuous improvement (CI), process improvements, Quarterly performance review of key suppliers.- Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Demand management, PR/PO cycle, GR/IR cycle, HSN codes, INCO terms, Invoice processing, Stakeholder management, handle exceptions and disputes, and Customer critical expedites. Worked on automation of repetitive tasks to improve overall productivity.
