I was tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of the information stated on the commercial invoices prior to the shipment of goods to Guyana or Trinidad. Additionally, it was my duty to guarantee that our brokerage agent received all the required documents for Customs clearance whenever a shipment was destined for Guyana or Trinidad. After the cargo was released from Customs, I was responsible for organizing transportation from the port of arrival to our warehouse and open storage yard. A spreadsheet is used to manage a log of all transportation movements. Additionally, I was responsible for supervising the unloading and offloading of cargo from trucks and trailers, as well as the packing of shipping containers for export. I was also responsible for the distribution of parts and supplies to our fleet of service vessels; I maintained a record of the cargo movement through a spreadsheet. To ensure efficient organization of the warehouse, I utilized an electric forklift and arranged the inventory in a manner that facilitated easy accessibility of the necessary spares and supplies so that they can be dispatch to the vessels promptly.

I was tasked with overseeing the release of both LCL and Container cargos, utilizing manual cart-notes and the ASYCUDA system. It was my responsibility to possess the appropriate documentation and ensure the presence of lien cancel stamps to facilitate the cargo's release. Additionally, I held the role of one of the Plan man for the Container vessels stationed at Munsehwers wharf. Upon the arrival of these vessels, it was my duty to ensure the successful discharge of all cargos intended for Guyana. This involved meticulously reviewing each ship's discharge plan to determine the precise location of the containers on board. Subsequently, I would direct the stevedores to offload the designated containers, as well as oversee the un- loading of the necessary container cargos. Additionally, I carefully examined each ship's loading plan and provided guidance to the stevedores on the optimal placement and packing of containers to ensure proper balance of the vessels and prevent any shifting of containers during transit to their respective ports.

As a supervisor, I oversaw a range of tasks at the wharf, including the import and export of goods and the management of bonds. This involved overseeing the shipping out and receiving of rice, as well as the stuffing and de-stuffing of containers containing a variety of items, such as logs, rice, paddy, fertilizer, and home appliances. Additionally, I was responsible for tallying the containers that arrived and departed from JFL port, as well as personal effect cargos for customers. Additionally, I was responsible for writing international vessel reports to ensure that all necessary information was properly documented.
