Facilities Controller
Current• Controlling & monitoring of 11kV power distribution system for a complete 265 km rail line by SCADA.• Controlling & monitoring of HVAC and Access control systems for complete line (i.e. shelters, buildings and substations).• Monitoring of Freight Control System. (Hotbox & wheel detector, weight in motion, rail temperature, acoustic bearing detector, video monitoring system, dragging equipment). • Monitoring of signalling (ETCS L2), telecommunications equipment, BMS, SMS, UPS, Fire detection and Low voltage in all buildings. • Fault recording, reporting by asset management system (SAP) and arranging corrective maintenance team during operation affecting failure.• Prepare switching orders that will isolate work areas without causing power outages.• Coordinate with engineers, operations planners, field personnel, or other utility workers to provide information such as clearances, switching orders etc.• Respond to emergencies, such as power failures, liaising with local power distribution authorities and normalising power supply using another circuit.
