CurrentInterface with the Corporate Office and subsidiary entities of the Health System,Appropriately represent the hospital at the Health System Board of Directors levelFunction as an effective liaison and intermediary between the hospital and the Private Diagnostic Clinic.Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, faculty and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the hospital's clinical, research and educational goals and objectives.Facilitate a highly-matrixes approach in the development hospital services, and display an ability to work effectively within the health system's decision making and organizational structures.Oversee major workforce and resource decisions for the hospitalWhere appropriate, represent the hospital to the external market, as well as internally through the application of community relations and marketing activities.Develop new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance.Work through the management team and medical leadership of the hospital, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support management decisions.Communicate key information to the stakeholders of these service areas with respect to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused services. Lead and supporting key committees pertaining to these service areas. The COO will be accountable for the overall success of operations of the hospital.
