I worked towards making education more inclusive using technology - our main focus was on increasing Braille literacy rates across the world via Annie, the world's first Braille literacy device. Polly, Annie's sister product in the USA developed in collaboration with APH, was recognised by Time Magazine as the best invention of the year in accessibility, 2022.As a result of our work, thousands of visually impaired children in over 5 countries have access to quality Braille education. Our work has received accolades from the prime minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, NITI Aayog, NIEPVD, and UNDP among others.

Acumen is a non-profit that raises charitable donations to invest in companies, leaders, and ideas that are changing the way the world tackles poverty. Acumen's India Fellows Program is addressing the country’s most pressing social issues by supporting a new generation of Indian leaders willing to challenge broken systems and develop new, inclusive solutions to create impact. Each year, the India Fellows Program brings together up to 20 emerging leaders from different regions, sectors, and socio-economic backgrounds in India.

Janwaar

Janwaar Castle is India’s largest skatepark and uses skateboarding as a catalyst to break down gender and caste barriers, and promote education amongst children. I have been involved with Janwaar for about 5 years now. In this period of time, I have had the chance to support and lead different initiatives along with Ulrike and the villagers. Highlights include: 1. Janwaar to China: Part of efforts to ensure Asha and Arun could represent India at the world skateboarding championships in China2. Open school project: Took English classes with Asha so that she may pass on her skills to the other children in Janwaar. 2. Skateboarding Championship: MC'ed the national skateboarding championship held at Janwaar3. The data project: Mobilised 8 volunteers to collect and analyse data from over 80 households in Janwaar to understand scheme eligibility and other issues.

The Dalai Lama Fellows program cultivates and supports a global movement of next generation leaders applying universal values to solve global challenges; the program selects 25 individuals internationally and bases its selection on their focus of “value-based leadership” and humanity

I was selected as part of the 2018 Bangalore cohort for the Policy in Action program. The program is designed to deliver core skills in policy analysis, advocacy and public leadership, along with the experience of working on live projects for Members of ParliamentFor my project, I had the chance to work in tandem with a Member of Parliament to draft a bill vouching for voting rights for NRIs. It recommended implementation methods that ensure ease of implementation for the election commission along with security, privacy, and ease of voting for the elector – a fundamental part of democracy
