Passionate about empowering people through learning and development. I love to help others identify fresh ways of thinking and believe that no matter the issue, a healthy perspective is essential for positive and sustainable engagement. Most of my experience is in working with under-resourced communities and helping leaders engaged in the same work be successful and avoid burnout. Highly experienced in curriculum design, learning and development, psychology & wellness education, and community engagement.Knowledgeable about adult education and instructional design principles, especially the ADDIE model and the 4-A Learning sequence. I used this knowledge to co-author the Work Life curriculum and help establish an accompanying certification process, which has been used by 300+ organizations nationwide. I have facilitated professional development sessions for organizational leaders on a variety of topics including leadership, trauma-informed pedagogy, social-emotional learning, and cultural responsiveness. I have trained new and prospective employees in areas such as conflict resolution, professional culture, effective communication, customer service, and exceeding employer expectations as the best path to advancement.
