As the sole internal communications employee at Tradeshift, my duties range from sourcing and producing weekly articles for Tradeshift’s internal employee intranet to creating the first-ever internal communications strategy for the company. Accomplishments include project management and budgeting for intranet’s build/development; the creation and implementation of a company-wide internal comms strategy; leading and organizing company all-hands with c-suite, including drafting talking points and presentations; building out DEI/cultural awareness guidelines for the company; creating new communications organizational architecture for Tradeshift’s internal channels, and collaborating with employer branding on comms best practices guides.

Responsible for both internal and external communications at the College of Environmental Design (CED) AT UC Berkeley. Duties include: strategizing and developing original content for the College, from articles and case statements to research digests and marketing materials; establishing and growing CED’s social channels; creating new style and brand guidelines; managing the editorial production, writing, and editing the 40+ page Annual Report and online alumni magazine, Frameworks; designing 12+ e-newsletters per academic year within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, averaging at a 35% open rate; producing donor marketing collateral for CED’s development office and alumni events; writing and coordinating press releases; and leading a small team of freelance graphic designers and writers.

Writing and copyediting intern for UCSD’s quarterly Alumni publication with a readership of 96,000. Contributor to the print and online versions of the magazine, responsible for researching former alumni to interview and write feature stories on on. Additionally, I updated social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

As a music intern I was responsible for reviewing and rating music sent to the radio station by locally or nationally known artists and uploading my reviews to the KSDT website. I was also a regular DJ for KSDT and produced a number of weekly radio segments on hip-hop, du-wop, garage rock and 80s punk rock to name a few. Last, my involvement with KSDT included preparing for and volunteering at radio-sponsored events on campus.

Contributed as a Lifestyle and Arts & Entertainment writer for UC San Diego’s bi-weekly student-run newspaper. Responsible for finding subjects to write on or interview and conduct research on and editing the story through the production process.
