• Multivariable Control of Wind turbines for Fatigue Load Reduction in the Presence of Nonlinearities.Created and demonstrated (in simulation) new methods of controlling wind turbines to reduce damage on the structure.
• Development and implementation of new theory combining two competing turbine control methods resulting in lower damage levels on wind turbines (67%, 46%, and 42% in the drivetrain, blades and tower respectively)..
• Publishing research in a peer reviewed journal and delivering presentations at two international conferences. Presentations were followed by visits to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (USA) to develop.
