As a visiting faculty, I have contracted a course of Foundation Engineering to explain undergraduate students about site investigation, bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundation, analysis of retaining structures & soil improvement.

GERD is a research consulting institute and consist of different section namely landslides, earthquakes, dam, and the design section. Staying under the design team, I have worked on different projects like designing retaining walls, investigating the condition of the dam, performing Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves (SASW) test, estimating settlement, soil erosion control, and stormwater management, technical review of various reports, etc. I have also been actively engaged in pioneering the design of helical piles in Thailand.

I entered the organization as an Intern Engineer and then got promoted to the position of Graduate Engineer. Since then (May 2015), I looked after the maintenance, design, and construction of rural roads in mountainous areas, encompassing all activities related with proceedings of procurement, management, monitoring, and evaluation. Besides fostering on technical and financial aspects, I got to witness the social dimension of the project as RAP3's primary aim was poverty alleviation in rural areas of Nepal.

This was my first job in the position of research assistant and it lasted for 8 months. The project is entitled, "Standardization and Development of Civil Design Framework for Micro/Mini/Small Hydropower Projects: Assessing Existing Design Procedures and Considering Impact of Climate Change” and was funded by NORAD, SINTEF, Norway. In this project, I was involved in the design and standardization of civil components of micro/mini/small hydropower projects. I along with my fellow research mate went to visit three micro-hydropower sites, collected and analyzed data, documented reports and prepared flex for the dissemination of information.
