Urban Planner
Current• Consulting municipalities, government planning authorities, and real estate developers in projects of Urban Development and Neighborhood Renewal.• Consulting over 20 different municipalities in Israel, covering more than 70% of the country’s population across various ethnic and religious groups. Responsibilities include calculating population projections, data analysis, public services allocation recommendations, understanding residents’ needs, and preparing and presenting comprehensive reports for stakeholders.• Creating programs for public land allocation by gathering data, preparing population forecasts, calculating the required public services, buildings and land according to timescale and local characteristics, and making recommendations for program implementation.• Producing social audit reports by conducting background research on cities and neighborhoods, customizing questionnaires to meet client and government authority demands, conducting community surveys in person and over the phone, analyzing and presenting survey data, and developing actionable recommendations based on survey results.• Using GIS mapping software such as QGIS and ArcGIS Online to analyse spatial data, identify geographic patterns and manage databases, and generate digital maps. • Managing community engagement processes in urban planning, including organizing public conferences, roundtables, focus groups, and surveys, and analysing the data for insights and relevant conclusions.• Integrating geographic data such as maps into reports. • Working as a member of the social team within the urban planning division. Responsibilities include enhancing the team’s use of online survey platforms, managing team projects, and training new recruits.
