This career path allows me to be on the front stage in education. As a junior lecturer, I teach general English and English for a Specific Purpose at several faculties in Universitas Brawijaya for freshman, sophomore, and junior university students.

As a graduate student, this opportunity means a lot to me as I sit in the higher-education students' teaching process and help my professor with it. Besides, this path introduces me to the research field, namely finding and solving the problem in the teaching process, writing it down as a report, and submitting the article to the journal.

In this field, I have the opportunity to teach in a broader scope I have not done before, namely teaching adult learners and a specific skill of English. I got to teach the factory workers as Laboratorium Ilmu Humaniora cooperated with them. Moreover, this career allows me to teach the Test of English as a Foreign Language – Institutional Testing Program (TOEFL-IPT) materials for the students who need to prepare their English skills before taking the test. Last but not least, this career also allows me to teach general English and specific skills of English, such as speaking and writing.

I work to reproduce writing from the Indonesian language to the English language. The works I usually handle are abstracts, articles, and essays. For my self-development, I enjoy translating Korean-language songs into English, Indonesian, and sometimes Javanese language.

I experienced teaching various levels of students by working on this path, starting from elementary students to high schoolers. I could teach personally to my student. As an educator, it was a different experience as I could bring out their excellencies and work more on their difficulties personally.

Different from what I have been doing so far as an educator, this career places me to be in backstage of the education process. In this field, I learned how to handle the testing process by producing the exam paper, preparing the exam to be delivered to the affiliated schools, and supervising the exam and grading process. Our office's clients are schools, so we are dealing with the students as the exam takers and the school management. Our annual agenda are a workshop for the teachers, and monitoring and evaluating the learning process. In that way, I also learn how to communicate with people, deal with and cooperate with clients, create and handle the prior-while-after event process, and sometimes as the speaker at that event.

This internship is done as the fulfillment to completing my undergraduate program. Through this program, I learned how to plan my lesson, taught in the real classroom, and worked in team as a team teaching.
