A serial life sciences entrepreneur and seasoned healthcare manager, Avner is the current co-founder and CEO of Vensica Medical, a company that is developing the Vibe – a catheter thatunlocks the power of therapeutic ultrasound to deliver drugs to the bladder wall.Since founding Vensica, he has steered the company from inception to Phase II trials,successfully raising $30 million and securing a strategic partnership with Merz Therapeutics,including in-licensing Xeomin, a drug generating approximately $1 billion in revenue.Avner is also the co-founder and a Board Member of an oncology startup, IntraGel Therapeutics,playing a pivotal role in its seed financing, clinical pipeline development, and strategiccollaborations.As Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Yale Ventures and biotech principal, Avner alsocollaborates with VCs and scouts for exciting deals, overseeing due diligence, and managingdeal flow.Avner earned a B.Sc from Yale University and a M.Sc from the Technion - Israel Institute ofTechnology.
