• Independently managed all aspects of a federal court employment litigation.

Kampala, Uganda

• Managed and trained the staff of this Ugandan human rights organization in legal analysis, case strategy design and implementation, argument development, writing, and negotiation.
• Crafted an innovative strategy that significantly reduced the rate of police officers raping sex workers.
• Spearheaded the investigation into the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was trafficked, buried alive, and beaten to death on government officials’ orders; developed response strategy to deter such government abuse..
• Developed PLA's legal aid strategy, and designed and drafted a Legal Aid Handbook as a guide for staff members.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

• GENERAL LITIGATIONRepresented companies in insurance recovery litigation. Drafted pleadings, discovery papers, motions, and appellate briefs. Represented a defense contractor in billion dollar litigation to recover.
• Argued in favor of a motion for summary judgment and against a motion to dismiss in San Francisco federal court;
• Designed the case's litigation strategy in one-on-one meetings with the senior partner and managed its execution;
• Negotiated case settlement with opposing counsel, both independently and with the senior partner.PRO BONODeposed the General Counsel of the U.S. Parole Commission in a high profile ex post facto case.
• Developed a unique argument that reduced the length of pre-trial incarceration for children charged as adults in Prince Georges County, Maryland (the Judge called my argument “very cool” during the court hearing);
• Cross-examined a police officer about the violation of my client’s Miranda rights and the officer's interrogation of my client;
