• To Identify, research & Evaluate the supplier across the globe that meet our client’s requirement in terms of Quality, Price, Reliability of supply.• Ensure that supplier performance is objectively measured and driving change where it is needed.• Providing the practices and frameworks to be followed when engaging with and managing strategic suppliers (where Intellectual property protection is key concern).• Negotiate prices and delivery conditions and other commercial terms that are in our client’s best interest• To conduct on site parts inspection before the shipment to ensure the parts meets agreed specification.

• Supporting new product development and value engineering initiatives through supplier development.• Establish early involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.• Provide information on negotiation results (all specs/grades, clear duration, validity for orders or deliveries) in a timely manner.• Assist in the development of global sourcing activities and strategies• To monitor and regularized physical & In transit inventory levels to adhere the plant Inventory norms

• To handle development of different types of machining components like pin, bush, die, Jig & fixture etc.• To evaluate the supplier on various aspects like manufacturing attributes, commercial and statutory compliances.• To evaluate the product cost through Zero based and Activity based methodologies.• To constantly work to revamp the process and reduce the lead times through various statistical techniques.

Responsibilities:-• Managing procurements that support manufacturing operations and ensuring the product cost target achieved.• Vendor selection, assessment, approval and monitoring in conjunction with QA function.• Report to Management on the progress of cost saving measures.• Negotiate all commercial terms and conditions with suppliers for the procurement and delivery of parts, materials, tools, equipment and services.• Reconcile invoice discrepancies from vendors by communicating factors that could lead to differences between purchase orders prior to final invoicing• Report to management including formal vendor benchmarking and inventory levels.• Hands on experience of SAP MM module i.e. PR (Purchase Requisition), RFQ (Request for quotation), PO (Purchase Order) etc. along with using so many standard SAP report for stocks.• Constantly work to improve the efficiency of the supply chain, reducing costs and increasing responsiveness to customers with the help of six sigma tools.• Basic knowledge of master data creation i.e. Material and Vendor creation.• Work as an active member of the team, ensure effective communication between colleagues and positively contribute regularly to meetings and briefings.
