As a backend engineer in one of the central squads at Duda, my role involved designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications that powered our web editor products. My responsibilities included:- Designing and developing robust and scalable RESTful APIs using SpringBoot and Kotlin programming languages.- Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase.- Designing and implementing a microservices architecture and setting up communication protocols between the microservices using RESTful APIs and messaging queues.- Collaborating with the front-end team and integrating APIs with the UI.- Ensuring high availability and performance of the backend services through monitoring, debugging, and optimization.- Designing and implementing data persistence solutions using relational databases like MySQL, as well as non-relational databases such as documentDB and DynamoDB.Tech stack:- Kotlin & Java 11/17- SpringBoot & Spring- Microservices & Monolith architectures- RESTful APIs- MySQL, DynamoDB- Mockito/Mockk, Junit/TestNG, and Mockserver- AWS Service: Lambda, S3, DocumentDB, DynamoDB
