CurrentFounding Principal, Avraham M. Mor “Avi”, has over 15 years of experience as a Lighting Designer. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a BFA in Theater Design with an emphasis in Architectural and Theatrical Lighting Design, he moved back to his hometown of Chicago to further his craft. Avi has taken his business from a small firm with a few projects to projects around the nation from 1,000 sqft spaces to million SqFt projects.Avi easily intuits the artistic expression that will best represent a project and seamlessly balances the complex issues of codes and environmental requirements while managing client budget allocations. Avi redefines the boundaries of lighting design by creating an environment that blends the best of traditional techniques with the latest in technology, allowing him to create the desired effect.Eco-conscious and on the forefront of the sustainability movement, Avi adheres to environmental requirements and to the client’s bottom line, a trait which has earned him a reputation for creative and successful project management. His work is defined by traditional techniques wed to cutting-edge technology. Avi has been recognized by The U. S. Department of Energy, where he serves as a committee member and forum reviewer for The Next Generation Lighting Industry Alliance and has spoken at several conferences on the future of solid-state lighting and luminaire technology.Avi is a cruising sailor and a racing sailor. He has done four Chicago Yacht Club Mac Island races, and is an active member at CYC. Avi likes to work with his hands. He has a small home shop, and loves working on projects around the house. Avi is the 3rd Certified Lighting Designer (CLD) in the world, a professional member of the IALD.
