As the CEO of Health Research Charities Ireland (HRCI), I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to nurturing a dynamic community of over 45 charities committed to advancing health research while advocating for their needs at a national level.Drawing from my academic background with a PhD in genetics and through writing, public speaking and collaborations, I contribute to national and international dialogues on a range of health research topics. These include patient and public involvement (PPI), research impact, health data, research funding, evidence-based policy, genetics & genomics, rare diseases etc.Driven by my belief in the power of research to transform lives, I am committed to working with others to ensure that the voices of health research charities and diverse stakeholders are included in all health research endeavours.

NISR are now launching a cohort of skin condition registries specifically focused on the Irish population. NISR's initial focus is on Epidermolysis bullosa, COVID-19, Alopecia Areata, and Eczema or Atopic Dermatitis, with others shortly to follow. -
