My main task is to spend four days per week on the road generating international air and sea freight business and advising clients on the most cost-effective solution. As part of my position, I prepare and submit quotations to clients, maintain contact with overseas offices and agents regarding customer shipments and regularly contact shipping lines and airline companies for information regarding prices and arrivals/departures of vessels and flights. I also have regular meetings with the operations staff to ensure that customers receive their shipments on time with minimal disruption and liaise with the credit control team to ensure that customer accounts and payments are maintained up-to-date to avoid account issues.
