Self-organized publication of a research paper about the simulated domain size distribution of ordered patches after the phase transition of the Silicon (001) surface.Further research about the findings of Master's thesis as well as delving deeper into the realm of open quantum systems.

Master's thesis about high performance GPU accelerated solution of stochastic differential equations using CUDA C++, employing up to 50 Nvidia GPUs at a time. Simulation of the order-disorder phase transition of the Silicon (001) surface.Tasks involved low-level implementation of solvers for stochastic differential equations on GPUs, efficient data generation by automated job submission on computer cluster as well as graphical presentation of simulation results. Results had to be interpreted by using statistical data analysis and analytical considerations involving renormalization group calculations.Necessary heavy research about the topic at hand lead to inclusion of about 100 sources.

Instructor for computational physics exercises and grading of Python homework. Tasks involved one-to-one supervision on-site and remotely.
