Bees are creatures my professional life goes with since 2004! I work with universities, beekeepers, businesses, and hundreds of people who are interested in bees!I work with bees-envirenment-human interactions in several ways: • Bees’ education: I had been teaching beekeeping (and entomology) classes in two universities in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, I was presenting beekeeping classes more realistic as what happens in beekeeping industry! • Bees’ research: Rather than doing just theoretical research on bees, I have employed GIS, data and citizen science in applied beekeeping research. During my PhD, I had focused on plant-bee interactions, and how to maximize the outcomes of such mutualism relation. Then, I have developed myself to think more globally while doing bee research. I worked in bee research for 5 institutes in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, and USA. •Bees’ extension: I have engaged in helping beekeepers to manage bees more efficiently. I have been doing these tasks in-person with non-profit organizations, and virtually through social media. I have founded non-profit virtual initiative on several social media platforms. Some of my university students and I have been working to provide the technical support for Arab beekeepers through our virtual initiative “Nahhal Arabic”. • Bees’ events: I participated in several local, regional, and international bee events. I presented oral and poster insights in most of these events. • Bees’ memberships: I am member at COLOSS, and some other bee associations. • Bees’ business: In late 2020, four of my bee friends and I have founded a startup company working in Beekeeping services and supplying in Upper Egypt. In our company, I am in charge of scientific issues, marketing and PR. • Bees’ hobbies: I love cooking! Cooking recipes of all nations. Even I do my own modification on the original recipes mostly to make it simpler! Bees cook nectar to make honey, and I cook too! Also, I love waking in natural areas with much vegetation.
