I am a power sector professional having 34 years of experience in a ‘NAVRATNA’ PSU (BHEL), Fortune 500 Global MNC , Academia (Professor of Mechanical Engineering) and a Research Organization My field of specialization is large thermal power plants.3. I have also been responsible for evolution of many new designs for large utility steam turbines. These designs have been implemented at various power plants of the country.4. I have rich experience of Twenty Five years in the field of Steam Turbine Design out of which four years was as Head of the Steam Turbine Engineering Group. 5. As a part of my job requirements,I have worked on R&D projects in India and Germany. 6. I have worked in the top management cadre in a SIRO (Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation) for seven years7. As its CEO,I established the organisation as a premier testing, certification, calibration and research organization of the country.The organisation recorded unprecedented growth.8. I have been a member of the Indian Expert Group on Standards and Labeling Program for BIMSTEC countries9. I have been a member of the Project Evaluation Committee constituted by USAID and IRG for evaluation of the proposals received for establishment of Energy Efficiency Centres in India.10. I have been a member of the Steering and Technical Committees constituted by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India for its S&L Program for Refrigerators and Air Conditioners.11. I provide technology training on Energy Management, Water Conservation in Thermal Power Plants, Steam Turbines, Coal-based Power Plants, Gas-fired Power Plants, Combined Cycle Power Plants, etc. 12. I am quite passionate about generation of ‘REGAWATTS’ from biomass.
