I worked as a Research student at Silexica. My research topic was regarding multi-objective mapping optimization for KPN(kahn process network) applications onto multi-core systems. C/C++11, STL, Boost, Linux, bash/python scripting

During my time here I learned what Silexica is all about and got to work on the SLX tool suite. My main task was working on CPN(c for process network) application development. The application was an implementation of the mobile communication standard LTE. I implemented the physical layer of the eNodeB. I wrote the CPN code for the downlink physical channels. And using an external open source implementation, I verified the LTE CPN application. Other than that I was actively involved during creation of customer releases. Also did a fair share of testing, bug reporting and debugging.

I worked with Miguel Aguilar as a student researcher. I was responsible for Code Profiling and worked on function granularity. The aim was to estimate the cycle cost of a single line of C-code by doing a Weighted Distribution using the cycle cost at other well defined granularitites. During this time I got hands-on experience in Clang, llvm, xml parsing/synthesizing and "Code Composer Studio" tool by TI.

Being an EMT internee my job was to learn how the different Engineering departments of DIPL( Descon Integrated Projects Limited) functioned together. Theses included Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Mechanical, Process etc Departments. In the process I got accustomed to the SOPs Descon followed and their EPCC chain which includes Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.
