- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design comprehensive electrical systems that meet Tesla’s rigorous standards for efficiency and sustainability.- Utilize industry-leading software such as Revit and AutoCAD to create detailed electrical plans, schematics, and layouts.- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of the Gigafactory.- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and performance of electrical systems.- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise throughout the construction phase to ensure seamless project delivery.- Develop and integrate innovative electrical solutions to optimize energy consumption and reduce operational costs.- Coordinate with mechanical and civil engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other infrastructure elements.- Conduct load calculations and power distribution analysis to ensure adequate and efficient power supply across the facility.- Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.- Implement advanced electrical engineering principles to design high-performance, scalable electrical networks.- Manage the procurement and selection of electrical components and systems, maintaining alignment with project budgets and timelines.- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential electrical hazards and ensure uninterrupted factory operations.- Prepare detailed documentation, including technical reports, as-built drawings, and maintenance manuals, to support ongoing operational excellence.- Engage with external contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with Tesla’s stringent standards.

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates based on completed for construction drawings and plans, audit projects and manage electrical construction costs.• Design-Build & Design-Assist in multimillion dollar high rise electrical projects.• Estimate new projects and assist General Contractors in budgets and preconstruction.• Review specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.• Constant communication with engineers, architects and lighting designers to maintain a good working relationship and drive the projects forward.• Evaluate areas in the project to bid for potential value engineering cost savings and creating alternatives to the GC and the owner in order to meet their budget and help the project to move forward.• Generate new work by bidding projects while supporting the Project Management team with change orders on current projects.• Review each bulletin, ASI (architect’s supplemental instructions) or new delta on each set of drawings in order to keep track of increase cost on projects.• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.• Review suppliers/subcontractors quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.• Provide project planning, initiation, and execution, electrical design, contractor management, quality, technical, occupational, health and safety issues on project site.• Maintain the project(s) deadlines, budget and costs.
