Overall responsibilities include;- Lead apparel product designer for Racing, Touring, and adventure category.- Seasonal collection research & category concept mood board definition.- Seasonal category color line plan definition.- Seasonal material sourcing and selection in collaboration with product developers.- Conceptual sketches, design drawings & final product tech specs.- Regular travel for research, sourcing, and inspiration.- Target customer group research, mapping & visualization.- Ideation insight research directly with brand athletes & end consumers.- Where necessary defining collection architecture & writing product design briefs.- Hands-on approach to problem-solving through in-house prototyping & pattern-making.- Concept, design & detailing of product components & trimmings.- Prototype fitting alongside product developers.- Continuous product testing & evaluation directly with brand athletes & end consumers- Detailed understanding of manufacturing techniques.- Working with PLM systems.- Driving responsible collections through the design development process.- Working with the marketing department ensuring correct product technical & creative storytelling.- Represent design at senior account management meetings & international sales meetings.
