I prosecuted serious felony cases including homicide, sexual assault, and domestic violence. I developed separate specialties in prosecuting hate crimes and child neglect, eventually leading Dane County's prosecution of both.

I assisted in implementation of this start-up renewable energy company’s internal compliance strategy. This included efforts to bring multiple legal entities into conformity with the Limited Partnership Agreement, SEC rules, and various state regulations. I also assisted in the early stages of the successor fund, C2 Special Situations Group, LLC, through the end of 2014.

I served as lead civil rights staff for this gender-equity focused human rights organization. This included coordinating training/educational events on domestic violence, religious profiling, and other issues requiring a culturally competent response. My position also required the drafting of Congressional hearing testimony and intergovernmental meeting submissions on human rights-related matters, such as religious profiling and the Syrian refugee crisis.

I coordinated national policy development and advocacy efforts with organization membership, elected officials, and advocacy organizations. I also drafted and conducted the Network's policy and advocacy trainings at colleges including Harvard University, American University, and Boston University.

As Deputy State Field Director, I managed 15 regional field staff members who supervised hundreds of full-time employees across the state for this coalition representing progressive interests such as organized labor and civil rights. As Director of Training, I designed the statewide GOTV training plan, developed all materials, and managed implementation of trainings with 41 staff members based throughout Wisconsin.

I advocated on behalf of young people and college students at the Democratic National Committee's official governing body as Vice President of the College Democrats of America and a Party Leader or Elected Official delegate (popularly known as a "Superdelegate") pledged to then-Senator Barack Obama. My work included programming designed to strengthen the Democratic Party's campus organizing base in all fifty states while building and sustaining strategic relationships with key elected officials and party leaders. During my tenure, I served as the second youngest active Democratic National Committeeman and the youngest ever Muslim American to serve in this role.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin & Racine, Wisconsin

As the only Wisconsin organizer devoted solely to the Progressive Majority Racial Justice Campaign, I led the recruitment and training of candidates of color for state and local elections throughout Wisconsin, with a focus on Milwaukee and Racine Counties. This role included developing relationships with minority leaders and communities in targeted areas for organizational, candidate recruitment, and Get Out the Vote purposes.

I was responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maximizing the efficiency of Wisconsin statewide student outreach and Get Out the Vote programs for Governor Jim Doyle, Congressman Steve Kagen, and other federal and state campaigns.

I organized canvassers, phone bankers, and volunteers for other key activities in Kenosha County for Senator John Kerry's Presidential campaign, Senator Russ Feingold's re-election campaign, and multiple state legislative candidates.
