The Division Manager provides leadership and direction over day-to-day operations of Utah Cultural Celebration Center, Harman Theatre and the Arts, Theatre, and Cultural Programs of West Valley City. Components include the various departments providing policy direction in the areas of events planning, programming, finance, safety, as well as assistance and support of West Valley City Council policy issues, strategic planning, financial integrity, and management services and systems. The Division Manager oversees cultural programs including:• Provide leadership and vision for the sale, rental, and general use of the division venues• Advancing art and cultural programs• Providing leadership for the management and operation of the city’s permanent art collection and the development of a comprehensive approach to preserve and promote art and culture throughout West Valley City• Establishing sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with ethnic community groups and organizations• Developing, implementing, and coordinating policy and program planning systems including the identification of program needs, establishing intermediate and long-range goals, and overseeing program development to meet the mission of the Division of Arts and Culture through the Division’s Strategic Plan• Promoting partnerships with philanthropies, businesses, ethnic organizations, arts organizations and other stakeholders in the community• Promotes art and cultural initiatives including Performing and Visual Arts• Oversees the development, implementation and coordination of a comprehensive financial accountability and integrity program ensuring the effective operation of budget processes, proper utilization of and accounting for the Division’ resources, and up-to-date information on the status of program and program funds• Promotes diversity in the workforce by supporting EEO and diversity efforts through effective leadership and actions
