Magnoliegården is a institute for children, with learning and behavioral complications. These children, at ages 6-16, need more resources than, the average child at same age. These children have either, experienced early and damaging hardship, or have one or more, mental illnesses, which hinder them from development and progress as their peers. My job as a teacher therefor is not only to teach the students in academic content, but also social behavior and interaction. These students, don’t have a fixed schedule, as they may experience “bad days” or interaction, which may cause them to extreme/abnormal extroverted tendencies.Teaching differs from a normal. Here, the students have different age and there is a maximum of 6-7 in each class. There is a curriculum we try to maintain, but one cannot expect that all that is planned, are carried out, as the day shifts and defined by students’ mood. We teachers try, to motived the student to do something, that develops the child in both educational and personal skills. It isn’t as easy, as teaching at a normal school, where you have penalty systems, parenting supervision, fixed schedules and more because, that type of system does not work on these kinds of students, as they both can´t fathom consequences of actions or lack emphatic understanding. Too many lost battles have made them think and feel like they do not have much to lose. The lack of the control over feelings may spark unnatural and bad behavior, which is not our mission. Our mission is not to control the child like a prisoner, but spark positive development, that can be used in future relation and situation to keep them on a righteous path.The job requires strong psyche or mentality. These children tell and act abnormal. They are fragile and can quickly become aggressive [both self-harming and threatening against others]. You have to be ready for the situation to change quickly. One second you talk about colors and the next second, they must be restrained.

The same as working at Magnoliagården, but as a pedagogue. The children have a milder extroverted behavior and are more capable of withholding a fixed schedule.

As a substitute teacher at Østskolen in Faxe municipality, I teach all subjects that may appear in classes from 0th to 9th grade. I have worked as a substitute teacher since august 2015 and since then, i have improved many skills, that will not only be helpful in future jobs, but also in everyday life.I believe that the work has improved my ability to communicate and disseminate important information and resolve conflicts, while having many other various task to complete and last but not least the skill to work individually and in groups. These skills I think in the future, can contribute positively to some of the challenges that naturally will occur.

As the waiter, I took orders, served the food and accepted payment at the checkout. I helped with various other tasks outside my area such as, helping the dishwashers with the dishes, fix machines, buy food for cooking, check and maintain our food stocks, washing and clean customers' tables and chairs, as well as the rest of the restaurant, when i had the time for it.Skills improved while working as a waiter.- Leaderchip--> Communication - Team work - Result orientation- Multitasking- Hygiene- Crisis management - Time management

I worked in the café as cashier, selling goods, coffee, thé, food and other stuff you can buy or order in a modern café. My main area of work was to sell ice cream, but also help the cafe with serving.
