I am a principal in the Estates and Trusts department of the law firm of Pasternak & Fidis, P.C. in Bethesda, Maryland. My practice is devoted to estate planning for wealth preservation, premarital and domestic partnership agreements, and the administration of estates and trusts. I have extensive experience counseling a diverse client base, working with blended and non-traditional families, entrepreneurs with business succession planning needs, senior citizens, young professionals, and families in transition. I have written and lectured on estate planning for digital assets, planned charitable giving, and wealth preservation planning for unmarried and same-sex couples. The Washingtonian has included me in their list of top estate attorneys since 2012, and I have been selected for Super Lawyers since 2015. Baltimore Magazine named me one of its Top 50 Women Attorneys in Maryland. I am a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), serving on its Washington Affairs Committee and Diversity Equity and Inclusivity Committee; I am also immediate past Chair of its Family Law Task Force. I also serve on the Section Council for the Estates and Trust Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, as a Past Chair and a member of its Legislative, Mentorship, and Diversity & Inclusion Committees. I am a past President of the Estate Planning Council of Montgomery County and a past Chair of the Digital Property Committee of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section of the ABA. I am also a member of the Washington, DC Estate Planning Council and a former adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center.An avid patron of the visual and performing arts, I served as a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of Fillmore Arts Center in Washington, DC from 2004-2012 and served as a member of the Board of Directors of American Dance Institute in Rockville, Maryland from 2009-2015. I currently volunteer with my daughter's Girl Scouts troop.
