Geneial is accelerating genomic medicine by aligning incentives for widespread exchange of genetic and biomedical data. We are developing a suite of tools and an exchange to allow biomedical data producers to make their data accessible to researchers, diagnostic labs, and therapeutic developers, all without exposing data to third parties (including Geneial) or transferring data ownership or control.

Selected as one of three digital health fellows at the innovation institute of the world's largest medical center. Gained a deep understanding of software product development in healthcare, value-based care (e.g. medicare advantage, accountable care organizations), telehealth, remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, and other regulatory and reimbursement trends in digital health.Co-founded Roxie Health, a platform for fall prevention combining longitudinal screening with targeted and timely interventions (e.g. physical therapy referrals).

Roxie Health is a personalized, data-driven, scalable solution for preventing falls among seniors. As efforts continue to decrease mortality rates for chronic conditions like heart disease and cancer, mortality from falls has increased by 30% in the last 15 years. Over time, if we continue to ignore the management of progressive decline associated with aging, then falls may become our greatest threat to longevity. By decreasing falls, we promote independence for seniors while driving significant cost savings for payers and at-risk providers.

Trained under the #1 NIH-funded geneticist, Richard A. Gibbs, AC PhD, Founding Director, Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center.Developed and applied novel genocentric, optimization-based analysis methodologies to one of the largest rare disease genomic biobanks worldwide, culminating in the discovery of 154 novel candidate disease-gene associations.Corresponding author of two manuscripts. I directed ENRICH, a life sciences innovation consulting program originally founded by Enventure in 2017. We have engaged with over 25 clients on strategic or operational projects, ranging in size from pre-seed to Fortune 500. Enventure is a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Houston, TX.

Worked with team of three fellows to update ENRICH business development strategy and marketing content.

Investigated how genetic variants impact gene expression, and how variance in gene expression may correlate with disease or other phenotypes.Developed a prototype of an innovative computational tool for predicting pathogenicity of genetic variants.Profiled machine learning algorithms to understand predictive power as input data exhibits increasing levels of class imbalance.

Worked with an interdisciplinary team of five fellows to identify market pains and validate potential solutions by reducing uncertainties through rapid, inexpensive experimentation.Team awarded seed funding to launch a business. Led business development and online marketing efforts. Lee Library in preparing catalog of online comprehension quizzes in conjunction with library collection of Chinese literature.

Created lesson plans for and teach five hours of class instruction for accelerated Mandarin course per week. Bridged ten entry level students of Mandarin to an intermediate level in only seven weeks.Graded and proctored oral exams. Held regular office hours for student consultations.

Implemented a dynamic web app to manage a DVR used to stream live events to 1,000,000+ viewers. Used AngularJS in an ASP.NET framework. Participated in planning and execution of agile sprints maintaining separate existing code base.
