Led six professional librarians, two administrative staff, and 13 part-time student workers in developing, delivering, and assessing library collections, services, and facilities. Administered a library program budget of $916,000, which includes an annual operating budget of $573,965. Planed, taught, and evaluated information literacy instruction for majors and programs in the College of Business. Provided library research assistance to students and faculty in the College of Business. Significant Accomplishments• Launched affordable learning workshops for faculty to adopt library licensed, OER, or OA materials in courses in 2018. Investigating feasibility of use of inclusive access textbooks based on current migration to Canvas and Workday.• Established the digitization and content load prioritization for the creation of Findlay Memory digital archive in 2016. • Oversaw design and implementation of a $550,000 renovation on all three floors of Shafer Library between 2013 and 2015. This renovation included creation of a Learning Commons with new collaboration furniture, consolidation and reconfiguration of the Shafer Library’s lending desks into a single service point, creation of a walk-up Knowledge Bar for IT and library help, replacement of all chairs, addition of eight group study rooms, and construction of office space for staff in the Center for Teaching Excellence, Academic Technology Services, Technology Support Services, and Online Programs. • Reviewed existing staff capabilities and effectiveness and developed a staffing plan in 2012-2013. Outcomes included the termination of a librarian with documented poor performance after providing a final opportunity for the individual to demonstrate competence. Elimination of an Administrative Assistant position. Realignment of access services, serials, and acquisitions staff and their workflows. Revision of position descriptions and titles for librarians to be aligned with the University’s six colleges.
