I am a PhD candidate at the Institute of Cancer Research, investigating mechanisms of PARP inhibitor resistance in breast cancer. I conducted an MSc by Research at the University of Kent, researching cancer chemoresistance to platinum agents. Prior to this I studied BSc Biology at the University of Southampton, obtaining upper-second class honours, and conducting a Wellcome Trust funded 8-week summer studentship, where I investigated the contagious cancer, Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD), and its ability to avoid the host immune system.During my time at The University of Southampton I volunteered with Southampton Marrow, a student-run volunteer group for the charity, Anthony Nolan. As president of the group, I managed a team of volunteers, organising stem-cell donor recruitment and fundraising events.
