• Since May 2007 I became self-employed and start designing and building MCC’s and Mini-Subs.• I also completed two municipal developments on Bulk Electrical Services by August 2008 inside City of Matlosana’s municipal area(South Africa, North West Province) in conjunction with C.A du Toit Elect. Consulting Engineers.• June’12 I completed 22/11kV Overhead HV lines, transformers & 600 house connections in rural areas• I also did electrification on new blocks off flats, medical clinics, townhouses & general maintenance on the reticulation networks, water- and sewer pump stations in the City of Matlosana’s Municipal area.

 January 2006 I was appointed as Shaft Electrical Multi-Skilled Engineering Foreman with supervision & coordination over electricians, fitters, boilermakers. My main responsabilities was two double drum rock winders, 3 double drum men/matterial winders, loading & surface conveyors. I was responsible for the Shaft Inter-level HT & LT Switching & Reticulation, sub-stations, installations & maintenance. Shaft Communication Systems (Winder Signaling, Telephones, Intercoms and Leaky feeder network), Electro-Hydraulic Station Lifts, and Main U/G Booster Fans & Plc’s and Dust filter fans, Main U/G Water Pumps (3 MWatt motors c/w multi-stage Sulzer pumps), the Main U/G Water Turbine Pumps, Hot and Cold Water Dams & PLC System. A 4-ton Mud Filter Press with Plc control & the main Rock Crushers with conveyors was also included.I was also coordinating the Capital Upgrading of the one double drum Rock winder (AEG with MG sets to ABB thyristor control), the complete loading system and the Deebar Shaft signaling systems and also on the HT switchgear upgrades on two consumer Sub-Stations.

 In May 2002 I was appointed as a Production Electrical Multi-Skilled Engineering Foreman in the Underground Production Section with supervision & coordination over electricians, fitters, boilermakers & riggers until September 2004. In 2003 I received an award for achieving excellent results and as the Production Engineering Foreman of the Year.

a) I started working on the mine February 1989 as an apprentice at Anglo American and then at Vaal Reefs No. 9 Shaft (Recently known as AngloGold Ashanti Kopanang Mine) as an Underground Electrician after successfully completing my apprenticeship in October 1991. At that time I was responsible for all installations and maintenance of the Electrical Reticulation network (High & Low Tention) and the maintaining of all Battery Locomotives.b) I was transferred to the Shaft section where I was responsible for the Shaft Inter-level HT & LT Switching & Reticulation, sub-stations, installations & maintenance. Shaft Communication Systems (Winder Signaling, Telephones, Intercoms and Leaky feeder network), Electro-Hydraulic Station Lifts, and Main U/G Booster Fans & Plc’s and Dust filter fans.c) Then I became responsible for the Main U/G Water Pumps (3 MWatt motors c/w multi-stage Sulzer pumps), the Main U/G Water Turbine Pumps, Hot and Cold Water Dams & PLC System. A 4-ton Mud Filter Press with Plc control & the main Rock Crushers with conveyors was also included.d) Then for about two years I became responsible for the U/G Rock Loading section. During that time I fully automated the whole system (Variable Speed drives, Vibrators, Conveyor Belts, Flask Weight Measuring, Hydraulic Packs & - Skip Clamps with all communications to and from Winders) by installing the complete Plc System, including all wiring and Program software. I was also responsible for the Inter-level Spillage Hoist.e) Additional Relieving & Standby Duties were: Above mentioned plus Fridge Plants, Main Ventilation Fans, Surface & Waste Dump Conveyor belts, three Men/Material- & two Rock Winders, Shaft Compressors, Otis Headgear lift, Change houses, Offices, Lamp Room, Overhead cranes all H.T. Switching & Reticulation, Main Sub-stations, installations, upgrades & maintenance feeding from the Consumer Substations to the U/G Levels.
