About Alex Wilgenbusch
I graduated from the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University back in 2015. I started full time employment with Levy at Arlington International Race Course even before I graduated. As a Catering Manager, I oversaw 6 group sales areas that resulted in 1.8 million in revenue. I was promoted pretty quickly into the role of Senior Catering Manager. In this role I was able to spend more time learning about financials and controlling labor and linen costs while training and aiding new managers in the department. After a year and a half and several support trips, i was offered the opportunity to move to South Bend Indiana as the GM of Premium at Notre Dame. While as the GM of Premium, i took what I learned at Arlington and continued to enhance it, focusing on labor, driving down beverage costs while increasing the margins in the all inclusive clubs all while providing excellent service. I also was apart of 2 major events in Notre Dame history, being the first concert in Notre Dame Stadium and the Winter Classic.Since departing Notre Dame, I moved to Milwaukee to be closer to family and rediscover my passion for the industry. I decided to stick with what I know by landing a Supervisor/Bartender position at Miller Park with Delaware North while taking the time to find what was next. That happened to be 1st and Bowl an entertainment bar featuring football bowling among other games as well as a full bar and kitchen. i recently accepted a promotion to be the GM where i will work to ensure great customer service while driving financial success.
