Real Time Operations Engineer/ Power System Control Engineer/ Power Control Operations EngineerKey Responsibilities:- Monitoring and controlling power generation plants (Thermal/Hydel/Nuclear/Solar/Wind) to ensure safe and efficient operation.- Scheduling and dispatching power plants to meet electricity demand and ensure grid stability.- Ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power system, including load management and control, frequency control, and voltage control.- Monitoring and Controlling key transmission parameters (500/220/132kV) such as line amperes, transformer loading, line MW, and MVARs. - Undertaking short and medium-term planning during schedule/force outages by predicting the load demand and arrange routine and emergent shut downs of power system equipment. - Ensuring that the operations of IPPs are carried out in accordance with the relevant power purchase agreements.- Monitoring and analyzing dispatch data to identify trends and improve dispatch processes.- Analyzing real-time power generation data and making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.- Coordinating with other control centers and grid operators to manage interconnections and ensure grid reliability.- Communicating with customers to provide updates on dispatch and resolve any issues or concerns.- Developing and implementing control strategies to optimize power generation and minimize costs.- Participating in emergency response planning and execution during power system disturbances.- Coordinating in incident investigations and root cause analyses.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to improve system resilience. - Staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.- Mentoring and training junior control engineers.
