Title: Optimization Workflow for Flat Slab Systems: Using Parametric Design with Visual programming. The master thesis was written in partnership with Klas Lindstrand and Tyréns. The result was a workflow which can be used to generate flat slab designs using a combination of parametric design principles, visual programming and optimization algorithms. Conclusions:• The resulting work flow shows promise as an assisting tool for initial structural design, using the flexibility of visual programming and instant structural feedback.• Its implementation can be a first step towards implementing visual programming with parametric design into the structural design process.• After implementation, functionality can be expanded with features such as optimization and AI, taking full advantage of digital transformation.
