Mr. Chaves is a native Brazilian with more than three decades of experience in real estate investment and development. Before joining 7 Bridges Investments, Mr. Chaves was the Managing Director and the Brazil Country Head of Jamestown Latin America, following his role at Paladin Realty Partners as Managing Director and head of its regional investment office in São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to Paladin Realty, he was CEO of a Brazilian homebuilding company that partnered with a Paladin investment fund focused on low-income housing. Mr. Chaves previously ran his own real estate marketing consultancy and advertising agency with such clients as Gafisa and Agenco. He began his real estate career in 1976 with Multiplan, one of Brazil’s largest retail developers.Back in the 80's, Mr. Chaves was the first Braziian citizen to achieve the CMD (Certified Marketing Director) designation from the ICSC - International Council of Shopping CentersMr. Chaves graduated from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, with a specialization in retail. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English and has Brazilian-Portuguese dual citizenship.
